Apart from page 2, which mentions the return of the conductor after several months' downtime (see news item dated 21 June 2025), there's not much to say about this programme.

We should mention the performance of Max Reger's Mozart Variations. We were then entering ‘Mozart Week’, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the composer's death in Vienna. An overview is on page 2. The number of works on the programme may have prompted Furtwängler to distance himself from Mozart's extravagance and pay tribute to his memory in a rather different way.
